R.I.P DOC SATAN.  Now his watch has ended.

DocSatan was a highly respected, prominent member of the Australian DayZ DownUnder (DDU) and DayZ Underground gaming communities who passed away in March 2021 from complications due to pneumonia. To honor his legacy and contributions to the community—including his role as a leader in the Lone Wolf Collective and the UN faction—the game developers officially added a permanent in-game memorial for him.  Location: Just behind the hangar area at the Krasnostav Airfield (formerly Northeast Airfield / NEAF), next to a small concrete-lined pond near the medical tents

Gaming and Digital Wellbeing

If you find yourself neglecting sleep, missing work or study, struggling with relationships, feeling angry or distressed when unable to play, or spending more time gaming than you want to, it may be worth taking a step back and talking with someone you trust.

While DDU staff are not trained counsellors, we care about our community. If you're having a rough time, remember that you're not alone, and there are people and services that can help. We welcome everyone to our community, fostering an environment of integrity, fair play, and support.

At DDU, we understand that life doesn't always go to plan. Many of us use gaming as a way to relax, socialise, and escape the stresses of everyday life. Sometimes those stresses can become overwhelming, and it's important to remember that support is available.

If you are struggling with your mental health, feeling isolated, dealing with addiction, or finding that gaming is negatively impacting your wellbeing, we encourage you to reach out for support. There is absolutely no shame in asking for help.

Australian Support Services

Gaming should be enjoyable. DayZ is a game, but the people behind the characters are real. If you're struggling, please reach out. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness
