Welcome to DayZDownUnder! To ensure a fun, fair, and respectful environment for everyone, we have established these community guidelines. Adhering to these rules helps maintain the high-quality, immersive survival experience our community is known for. Please read them carefully.

Essential rules for all players

To keep things fun, fair, and respectful, all players and community members must follow these rules:

Discord & in-game behaviour
No hate speech, bullying, harassment, or toxic behaviour, ever. This applies to text, voice, and in-game interactions – to members, including our admins. No trolling, spamming, or NSFW content. Be kind, keep memes appropriate, and use the correct channels.

Steam accounts
All Steam accounts must be set to public profiles. If you have a legitimate reason to request to be allowed to have a private profile, please raise a support ticket.

VPNs and bans
Use of VPNs is not allowed. VAC bans under 365 days will not be allowed to play. If a player has a BattlEye ban for DayZ or Arma, they will be permanently banned from all DDU servers. We share ban lists with the DayZ Community globally.

Cheating equals instant ban
No hacks, scripts, duping, glitching, exploiting, or abusing game mechanics. We share ban data. Play clean.

No meta gaming / stream sniping
Do not share or act on information gained outside of the game (e.g., from streams) to gain an unfair advantage in-game.

Why are these rules important?
These rules are crucial for maintaining a healthy and enjoyable community. They ensure a level playing field, prevent disruptions, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for all players. Following them benefits everyone by upholding the integrity of the game and the DDU community.

Unacceptable actions
We have a zero-tolerance policy for cheating, exploit abuse, toxic behaviour, harassment, bullying, sexism, or racism. DayZDownUnder is an inclusive community, and these behaviours will not be tolerated.

What happens if a rule is broken?
Punishments or penalties may vary from a warning to a temporary ban, depending on the rule break and how you respond and approach staff regarding the matter. We are all gamers and adults here; we will listen to reasonable conversations as long as we are afforded respect. Break the rules, face the consequences. Warnings, bans, or wipes are at staff discretion.
